Peter Speziale Artist Highlight

We are honored and equally excited to have Peter Speziale sharing his inspired art via his harp at our upcoming Arts Open House and ICARE Dog Rescue Fundraiser. Peter is not only an extremely talented musician and teacher but also a dog lover. Harriet is one lucky dog to have Peter for her papa.

Connecticut native Peter Speziale is a performer in the Greater New England Area. Peter is an active member of the American Harp Society having served as Secretary for the Philadelphia (PA) Chapter and as a board member of the Orange County (CA) Chapter. He recently gave the world premier of Hypnotic Dances for Alto Flute and Harp by Lucas Floyd, a work commissioned by the American Harp Society. In addition to his work with the American Harp Society, he was also involved in the 2008 World Harp Congress as a Youth Ambassador.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Arizona where he was a student of renowned pop, jazz, and recording harpist Carrol McLaughlin. He holds a Master of Music degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where he was a student of Sarah Bullen, principal harpist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

When not playing the harp, Peter enjoys bird-watching, hiking, gardening, and spending time with his dog, Harriet.
