Ke-ola had a mellow Sunday

Handsome boy
It was a cold day but there wasn't much rain. It made it easier to take Ke-ola out. Roland walked him early in the day. They spent 20 minutes investigating the neighborhood. I gave Roland an earful because I don't want to Ke-ola to over do it.  But the joke was on me because once he drank a bowl of water he wanted to play ball. Roland just looked at him and said "It's up to mom, she says you need your rest"...they played ball inside for another 30 minutes.

Ke-ola's legs and paws
are wound free.
Ke-ola's antibiotics and treatments seem to be paying off. His nose hasn't dripped in over a week and he doesn't cough unless he's been running. We have our paws crossed that we'll have good news at his next Pet Hospital visit.

The wounds on his head are gone and his ears are smooth. The hair is growing back on his muzzle and face. The open cuts and scabs have healed on both of his legs and his paws. I attempted to lift him the other day and I think he has put on even more weight. (Either that, or I'm getting older. Both are feasible assumptions)

I haven't been able to spend as much time with Ke-ola these past few days but Roland has been there to fill in. I'm very grateful that he is there for Ke-ola. I don't think Ke-ola minds, he loves to play with his foster papa.

(Check out Ke-ola in his sweater and rain jacket)

We don't know how long this poor boy was alone and on the streets. Judging by the emaciated condition he was in, it must have been a long time. He wants to please so badly but he has lots of energy. That's why we are working so hard to teach him basic commands and obedience. Ke-ola is an active boy that wants nothing more than to play and love his humans. He will make his forever person/family the center of his universe.

Wishing you and your pack peace today and everyday. Thank you for visiting.
