Ke-ola is a happy doggy

Enjoying the midday sun.
Ke-ola is all about being Happy, Happy, Happy! He has the cutest wiggle butt I've ever seen. He loves being around his foster family and wants to engage in play at every opportunity. While he can be very rambunctious he can also be a huge cuddle bug. Ear and belly rubs are his favorites. They make him grunt and moan with joy. It's adorable.

He is still coughing a bit and has some mucus from his nose but it is minimal compared to the way he was feeling before. He has a beautiful new collar from ICARE but when he starts to cough it restricts him so we are still using the rope collar, especially after his coupage treatments.

Ke-ola still has a buggy nose
but it is much better than before.
We have been working on basic commands and with keeping his energy level as calm as possible. He is doing very well with "off" from furniture as well as people. He is also learning sit and wait. We have him sit before we open any door and wait for us to call him forward. He walks well on the leash and is easily corrected when he gets excited. He is also learning to sit before treats and before eating…we're still working on the wait part with his food but he is a quick study.

In the video below you'll see Ke-ola with his foster papa showing how well he has learned to sit. Roland is very proud of Ke-ola.

Ke-ola is a gift. He is teaching us as much if not more than we are teaching him. I'd never had a Pit Bull in my house but always thought they were great dogs. Now that I have had the opportunity to know and love one I understand why Pit Bull lovers are so passionate about the breed. Ke-ola is the funniest dog I have ever known yet can also melt my heart in seconds. Experiencing joy is very simple for him. All he needs is love from his people, time to play, to eat and then more of the same. I think we could all take a page from Ke-ola's book of life wisdom.
Thank you for visiting. Wishing you and your pack peace today and everyday.
